Nearly a year after it launched, Borderlands 2 for the PS Vita is still receiving updates and bug fixes in hopes of drastically improving its performance. The new update, which brings it up to version 1.07, is now out and ready to download.

There are no specifics as to what the update actually does outside of the standard fix to “various bugs. Some players are reporting that it noticeably increases the load times for different textures and improves the framerate in various parts of the game. And other players report it does absolutely nothing…

Still, if you haven’t played your copy of Borderlands 2 in awhile, you should start it up and download the 146mb patch.

I see no difference whatsoever in performance.

I’m really hoping it fixes the random crashes I’ve been having while using the menu to change the equipment or check the map/objectives.

How about the loading times, did you realize something worth mentioning or nothing at all?

        Seems the same.
However I had crashing issues while accessing menu within areas that were CPU intensive (meaning I noticed slow downs here and there), now is not happening anymore.
When it started to happen (at one specific point in the game I cant remember) I thought something got corrupted and re-downloaded the game, but still it crashed… So I think is basically a bug fix of some sort.
