We get a first real glimpse at the upcoming Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni with some screenshots and a few fresh details.

Only announced recently, Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni is a 3D battle/action game set on the island of Bhikkhuni, one of five artificial islands in the area. On this island, teens and twenty-somethings suddenly find themselves infected with a mysterious virus that temporarily weaponizes them if they acquire “neurological enhancements”.

Players control two characters (sisters Rinka and Ranka) in an attempt to mow down swarms of enemies, slowly increasing the pair’s “Synchronization Rate”. This feature can change things like weaponization, combos, and dialogue results during battles – with more sync offering better results.

Check out the first set of screens released below;

Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni is due out in Japan sometime this year, are you excited yet? 😉

    I hope there are more playable characters than that… unless the combat and story line are robust enough to accommodate the two characters.

    I’m fine with these kinda games, I enjoy Senran Kagura, but they really need more character variation. I’m not particularly a fan of everyone having perfectly spherical basketballs shoved up their tops :v

    Great keep the good news coming 🙂
