Roel Ezendam from developer RageSquid took to the PlayStation Blog today to announce that the studio’s debut title Action Henk will be coming to the PlayStation Vita later this year.

The game is about an action figure that is trying to relive his heroic past. Action Henk used to be the quickest figure of all back in the 80’s and 90’s, but now there is not much left to show for his previous accomplishments. That is until Action Henk is challenged by his nemesis Dr. Kentony, and he sets out to prove that he still has what it takes to be the fastest of them all!

The aim of the game is to use physics and momentum to speed through the levels as quick as you can. To master the short levels you will need to perfect all the tricks that the physic-based platforming has to offer – including Henk’s famous butt-slide!

Hailing from The Netherlands, RageSquid have teamed up with Curve Digital to bring Action Henk to PlayStation platforms. To accompany the announcement a trailer for the title was released, and it certainly does look like it will be a fun game to play!

Set to release later this year, keep an eye on The Vita Lounge for more on Action Henk as soon as we have it, but for now, check out the trailer below!

Gameplay will as always be the deciding factor for me, but this is a really nice looking game.

  • Devin Hudson

It seems a bit juvenile, but it still looks pretty fun. Curve has brought a bunch of great games to Vita so I trust this one will be great as well.
