I’m really looking forward to LEGO Jurassic World, which launches this week but anyone that has been following TVL for a while will know that I’m a bit of a Marvel aficionado and when WB Games announced a new LEGO title for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes I was in my element, and today they shared with us the first trailer.

The trailer showcases some of the action you can expect to see and if you have seen any of the action from the Marvel Cinematic Universe then it will be very familiar to you, with the action being based on the events of both Avengers and the sequel, Age of Ultron.

The last couple of LEGO titles for the Vita have been some of the best on the system and despite the differences with the console equivalents they have been very good in their own right, so I’m hoping that this will continue with Marvel’s Avengers. At the very least, I seriously hope that we can re-live some of the action from Age of Ultron, especially that iconic fight scene mid way through. You know the one I’m talking about!

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers releases later this year and we will bring you more news as we have it. Are you a fan of LEGO titles or the Avengers? Are you looking forward to this?

I can’t help but feel that they might have limited themselves by just focusing on the Avengers movies. But who knows? Maybe you’ll be able to lego it up through Winter Soldier and Thor 2 and Iron Man 3, since those are all technically Avengers adventures since they star Avengers members.

I’m really surprised that they didn’t have this out in time for the movie’s release. In any case, TT seems to have figured out what a Vita owner wants from a Lego game on the system. So I can’t be more stoked for both Avengers and Jurassic World!

      • Lester Paredes

I know. Jurassic world comes out tomorrow! Whee!

  • Cousin Jeffrey

Ive never played a lego game on vita, so i dont know about the differences between console and handheld. So which games on vita are close to their console equivalent? I’d like to try them 🙂

    • Buckybuckster

The best one to start with would be Lego Batman 3. It’s the Lego game I measure all other Vita games against. Easily one of the best games Lego or otherwise I’ve played this year. Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin is top notch too.

The only other one I own is Lego The Hobbit but whatever you do, stay as far away from this one as you possibly can. Sub-par graphics and gameplay and more game busting glitches than you can shake a stick at.

As a general rule of thumb, if the Vita Lego game in question is based on it’s console brethren then thumbs-up. If it’s just a port of the 3DS game, thumbs way down. Hope that helps mate!

      • Cousin Jeffrey

Thanks mate! I was keen on the Lord of the rings Lego game.. But wasn’t sure of its quality.

        • Buckybuckster

No prob! I’m interested in LOTR too. Kinda surprised I haven’t Youtubed a vid of it yet.

      • Lester Paredes

Have you tried Lego Chima? I remember that one being good as well.

        • Buckybuckster

No not yet, but if it gets the official Lester seal of approval, I will have to!

          • Lester Paredes

Well, I sure hope it doesn’t disappoint.

    • Lester Paredes

Lego Chima is a surprisingly good one too, but it doesn’t benefit from the pop-culture tie-in like Lego B-Man.

  • Cousin Jeffrey

Is there any word yet on the Vita version of lego Jurassic World? is it close to the console versions?

  • chizwoz

So are the Vita versions the same as the console ones or more like the 3DS ones?
