Square Enix has unveiled a new Final Fantasy title for release on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4.

Amidst all the E3 PlayStation 4 announcements was a lone PlayStation Vita announcement in the first hour; the existence of World of Final Fantasy –Β a new title set to release in 2016.Β Not much is known about the game at this time other than the little that has been stated, though the E3 trailer looked to be quite cute.

Don’t believe me? Check it out;

I’m sure we’ll have more onΒ World of Final Fantasy as E3 goes on, so we shouldn’t have to wait long for another look. πŸ™‚

Excited?

  • Logan Graham

That’s it? And like 2 seconds in the montage? AND NO PERSONA 5?

    • If you were expecting more I’m wondering if you’ve watched and E3 in the last 3 years – less than 5 minutes of coverage each year.

Vita games are announced daily for the West, but not much at conferences.

      • Logan Graham

This was less than last year. 5 SECONDS total. Oh, and… *deep breath* NO PERSONA 5.

        • Nonscpo

You do realize Persona 5 is PS4 exclusive?

          • γƒ€γƒžγƒ€xγ‚Ώγ‚«@OOR’er

PS3? cmon they made P4G for vita and that was like a really big hit so PLEAAAAASE MAKE A VITA VERSION FOR P5 ATLUS IM BEGGING YOU

  • Can’t wait πŸ™‚ Better than nothing I suppose.

  • Dan Smith

I think the Vita is done boys. Even indie publisher Devolver Digital is skipping it. I’m probably gonna wait for the PS4 to get a price drop then I’ll just remote play. If you guys change the website name to Remote Play Lounge or PS4 Lounge I’ll still visit it. I can’t imagine Vita lasting much longer.

    • See ya later!

We’re not going anywhere, but you go right ahead. πŸ™‚

Do not delete my posts, Kyle. He deserved it for he is trolling!!!

        • Please don’t tell me how to police a site you don’t decide the rules for. Posts that go over the line will be removed, and repeated offenses will result in a ban. This goes for everyone, on both sides of the fence.

          • ToTrollaTroll

People will still hate the vita for stupid reasons!!! Do you not understand that? Even n4g has troll mods on there that pick sides and has a lot to do with favoritism…

I hope you are not like them?

          • I eat trolls for breakfast.

    • Buckybuckster

Have they cancelled any games? They just announced that Christmas themed Hatoful Boyfriend VN a few weeks ago. And Not a Hero is still listed for the Vita at Devolver’s blog. I’m really looking forward to those. Have you heard some news that we haven’t?

I have heard of a couple of indies that were cancelled, but the main reason that’s been given by the developers (if you are to believe them) was their unwillingness to compromise their vision displayed in the console version, in order to squeeze it onto the Vita. As was the case with Guns Up.

      • γƒ€γƒžγƒ€xγ‚Ώγ‚«@OOR’er

hahahahaha do you remember ff agito :’> cries

    • ToTrollaTroll

You suck PS4’s sick, GTFO my internets PS4 fanboy! You know you want to have sex with it all night long, hypocrite elitist! πŸ™‚

    • ToTrollaTroll

Too bad you are banned, fail troll is obvious. πŸ˜‰

    • ToTrollaTroll

Get a full time job instead of hating on a piece of plastic, indiestation 4 fanboy. πŸ˜‰

    • ToTrollaTroll

U MAD BRO? That games like this come to vita and you are butthurt about it? πŸ˜€

    • Nonscpo

Go ahead and while your at it don’t forget to sell your Vita too, since you probably won’t be using it much. Over here in Vitaland were flooded with games, and not just indies but really decent localized games, but hey if it isn’t AAA or comes from Murica it doesn’t count am I right or what?

    • ToTrollaTroll

Go get full time job ps vita hater. You will hate it no matter what! πŸ™‚

    • ToTrollaTroll

Why don’t you go to gameFAQs where you troll on the Vita boards and actually do it to have no life on there, sad excuse for a troll…

  • Buckybuckster

Well, the positive outlook side of me says,”Nice! A unique and cute FF is coming to the Vita. Can’t wait to see more of the game in action.”

As far as my cynical, negative side goes.. well, come to think of it does it really matter? I really wasn’t expecting Sony to show much if anything for Vita in their main presentation. So I’m somewhat surprised we got this little morsel to chew on.

World of FF may not be a FF7 remake, or Type 0 or a Vita exclusive for that matter. But that in no way means it is destined to be a waste of our time. Quite the opposite could be true. Time will tell.

I always hope for more but with all of the killer Vita reveals that have come our way over the last few weeks, I can’t be too disappointed. And with E3 only in its infancy, the chances are good that a few more surprises are in store.

  • Lester Paredes

It was a disappointing E3 for vita, more than previous years because this and like, 2 seconds of vita footage showed up. At least last year, they announced a little something. Perhaps there’ll be more out on the floor.
But this isn’t the place to gripe about E3! This game is pretty adorable, no doubt about it… but I hope it has more going for it than nostalgia. That can only take you so far.

    • Buckybuckster

Well Lester, I think of it as being more a case of a dissapointing showing at Sony’s presser (A.K.A. business as usual) rather than it being an overall poor showing. The show has just begun and like you have stated, there will be more than a few Vita games out on the floor. The grade we give to V’s overall performance can’t be realistically or fairly given till the plug has been pulled on the final day.

      • Lester Paredes

Very yrue. Can’t wait to hear about what’s on the floor. Hopefully, stuff we never even heard of.

  • Marius Henriksen

Hope this will be popular. I’m more excited about Severed. Kinda dissappointed we didn’t see more of that, but I’m already sold on it so I guess it doesn’t matter. Long live the Vita!

    • Nonscpo

I think it will do fairly well, I definitely see this game selling better on Vita than PS4, this game screams: gaming on the go!
