Playstation Blog has announced that the new musical shooter, Myriad, will be making its debut on the PS Vita.

According to Bitfrost Entertainment, Myriad is a twin stick shooter that aims for one thing: performance. That’s right, Myriad will not contain any story, lore or character development. Its goal is to be a fun shooter where its world will be shaped by your performance.

The goal of Myriad is to destroy the level you have built by defeating enemies. Sounds like any normal shooter, right? Wrong. The difference is that with every enemy that you defeat, many more will spawn after it. This is where you must build up special combos to wipe everything off the screen and only then will you be victorious. In addition, there is no “Game Over” in this game. You are in control of time and space, therefore, you have the power to rewind time to fix your mistake.

Does Myriad sound like a game that’s up your alley? While it has been announced, there is still no timeframe on when the game will be released.

I’m usually fired-up for twin sticks, but those screenshots leave me wanting. I have absolutely no clue as to what’s going on there. Would have to see some gameplay before committing to a purchase.
