Samurai Warriors 4: Empires, based on Samurai Warriors 4-II, will add more strategic elements to the typical hack and slash gameplay that is a staple of the Samurai Warriors titles.

In Samurai Warriors 4: Empires players will be able to control military commanders in a new strategic room. The options that you will have at your disposal will change depending on which of your advisors you seek to take advice from.

Koei Tecmo has announced that the roster of warlords in the game will be the same as that in Samurai Warriors 4-II and that over 100 female commanders will feature. Those that pre-order the game will receive a bonus mission titled ‘the Siege of Osaka’.
