Thanks to a post on Gamespot – which they spotted on All Games Beta – if this listing on a Korean ratings site is to be believed, we could be set for a Vita version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

It’s not the first time that we have heard this rumour, we told you last year that the UK retailer Tesco had listed the game for release. We do not have any other news at this time, but have reached out to publisher 2K Games for further comment. With 2K games also being rumoured to release Civilzation Revolution 2 for the Vita, are they looking to release more of their mobile titles on the Vita?

What do you think of this news? Does it look more likely that the tactical-turn based RPG is going to get a Vita release?

Yes! Give this to me! I wish to play it on the go! Or at least re-release it on PS4, so I can remote play it. Hell, I wouldn’t mind a whole slew of last gen games prettied up and re-released. I know it’s lame, but I missed a lot of games in the PS3 generation since i could only really play on handhelds. Remote play is a blessing. Not the best use of a console, but it’s pretty dang cool. Man, I really rambled off topic here…

Would love it but it’s another I’ll believe it when I see it.

  • Raul

If this is true, it would be FANTASTIC! But as Hazey says, I’ll really believe it when I see it.

It seems we are all of one accord. I’ll be super happy if it happens, but I’m not exactly holding my breath. I’ve been duped by these listings far to many times in the past. Never again!

Please let this be true. On a side note, I’d really love if publishers release more of these games on the Vita. I mean games that are already available on the Google play store and ios store such as this, BioShock, the world ends with you, ff titles, and even ones like modern combat, etc. These would have been a great fit for the Vita.

    • Hazey

I feel the same way, surely bio shock can’t be that hard to port over? It’s already down scaled for iOS and they could do it as a digital download.

      • gamezalv

True and they’ll make more money in the process. It’s a win-win situation for both the publishers and us Vita owners. Also imo BioShock on ipad kinda sucks due to touch controls. It would’ve so much better on the vita.

        • Hazey

I think it’s a complete lack of interest from Sony, when the 3ds struggled nintendo stepped in, Sony? Ignored the the vita public and chucked out poor ports (call of duty anyone?) continued with a lack of marketing and horrendous prices for the memory cards.

Wainting. I hope that is true!
