Brace Yourself Games has announced that they’re bringing roguelike rhythm game Crypt of the NecroDancer to PlayStation Vita.

Heather Wilson – Producer and Community Manager at Brace Yourself Games – took to the PlayStation Blog recently to announce that they’d be bringing their critically-acclaimed roguelike rhythm title to the PlayStation Vita (and PS4) in their console debut.

Originally released on PC, Crypt of the NecroDancer sees you play as Cadence; a cursed girl on a quest to through the NecroDancer’s mysterious dungeon in search of her missing father. On her journey she faces methodical monsters (all moving rhythmically to the same beat she’s been cursed to follow) and randomly generated levels (offering new gameplay every time) – complicating her search even further.

It’s not all about Cadence however, as you can even play as other members of Cadence’s family; each with their own unique play style.

Featuring an award-winning soundtrack composed by Danny Baranowsky, and a special console-only chiptune remix from Jake “Virt” Kaufman (the composer for Shovel Knight)… Crypt of the NecroDancer is definitely headed to Vita in style.

Don’t you think?

Now if only we had a release date. 🙁

Keep your eyes on The Vita Lounge for more on Crypt of the NecroDancer, as we’ll be sure to update you on any Vita version news that becomes available.
