Long time Vita owners will know that Curve Digital love the handheld and have supported the system incredibly well thus far, and that train shows no sign of stopping with the news that they will be bringing Fiddlestick’s colour shifting puzzle platformer Hue to the system early next year.
The game features you as the titular Hue, who gains access to the colour ring after his mother becomes trapped in the mono world. The ring empowers Hue with the ability to alter the perception of colour, and so he embarks on a mission to thwart the despicable Doctor Gray. This adventure will not only define Hue as a person, but change the world forever.
The game features the ability to shift specific colours, which opens up new puzzle possibilities. Hue can manipulate the world around him to discover hidden routes, avoid threats, remove obstacles, defeat enemies and many more possibilies!
Funded by Kuju Startups, Hue has been developed by Fiddlesticks and Henry Hoffman, Creative Director of the studio said: “Hue’s been attracting a huge amount of attention since we started showing it at indie expos, but we’ve been particularly impressed with Curve’s enthusiasm for the game.”
“Partnering with the leading publisher of indie games will enable us to make a real impact at launch and will hopefully ensure that Hue is a worldwide hit when it releases next year.”
Curve managing director Jason Perkins told us via a press release:
“We knew from the moment we laid eyes on it that Hue was a perfect fit for Curve. It’s a genuinely innovative game, full of challenging platforming and wonderful puzzles – with real style and charm. This is the first of our 2016 games we’re announcing, and it’s a real statement of intent.”
We will bring you more news on Hue as we have it! What do you think of it so far?
