Today we have learned from Warner Bros. Games that the upcoming LEGO Avengers title is now set to launch in January 2016.

The first console videogame to feature characters and storylines from Marvel’s The Avengers, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and many more will be available on 26th January 2016 in North America and 29th January 2016 in Europe at participating retailers.

We have also learned that an exclusive retailer for the UK will be announced soon, allowing gamers to pre-order their copy and get an exclusive Silver Centurion Iron Man LEGO minifigure, one of the many versions of Iron Man that will be playable in the game.

As it’s Gamescom this week, WB Games also showed off a few new screens for the game, including Bruce Banner and his alter-ego, the Hulk, MS Marvel Kamala Khan, Speed, Thor Jane Foster and Squirrel Girl.

The game was originally slated to launch “this fall”, so it’s disappointing that another game has slipped into early next year – especially for Vita owners who won’t be getting the upcoming LEGO Dimensions.

Have you been looking forward to LEGO Marvel’s Avengers?

I hope they open it to the comics as well. Sure would love to play as Lego She Hulk. Clearly, the best Hulk.

I enjoyed Lego Jurassic World even though alot from the larger console game didn’t make the cut. TT are getting less lazy. Even so, I’d rather buy the PS4 version and remote play on Vita when time permits.
