Developer 2Souls Interactive has announced that it’s Metroidvania platformer Beyond-Human will be making its home on the PS Vita.

Beyond-Human is set in a post apocalyptic world following an alien invasion that pits the player in the shoes of Adam, the protagonist that awakens from a coma and suffers from amnesia. Adam is now on the mission to find out why and how this alien invasion came to be.

According to the developer, Beyond-Human is inspired by games such as Devil May Cry, Megaman and Metroid. With a 16-bit art style, 2Souls Interactive is hoping to bring the same magic to the PS Vita just like the classic platformers did back in the day. By mixing the gameplay of Metroid and Devil May Cry, fans of those games will feel right at home with moves and combos that are easy to do but difficult to master. With 5 boss battles and over 30 unlockable moves and combos, players won’t have a shortage of content to go through.

2Souls Interactive have also released a trailer for this title and can be seen below:

Beyond-Human is a cross buy title that’s scheduled for release on June 1st, 2017. Stay tuned to The Vita Lounge for more info on this game.

I backed the game when it was on Kickstarter, so I was disappointed when it ended unsuccessfully. Thus, I’m glad that the game is still happening, as it looks pretty awesome to me.
