As reported earlier, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus will be releasing in Japan but there was no word on a Western release. According to an interview conducted by Famitsu, a Western release may be in the works.
Dead or Alive producer Yosuke Hayashi has said that while Venus is being developed for the Asian and Japanese market, there’s a chance that a localized version may be released if there’s enough demand from fans of the bouncy fighter.
In addition to the possible localization, Mr. Hayashi has stated that the Vita version will run on a modified version of it’s Soft Engine named “Soft Engine Lite” and said that it will make use of several Vita features such as the gyro sensor and camera. It’s refreshing to know that a specific engine will be used for the Vita port rather than a shoddy downgrade that most developers release nowadays.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus is releasing in the East with still no word on a release date. If you want to see this game come West, let your voices be heard! Stay tuned to The Vita Lounge for updated news regarding this game.
