Phantasy Star Online 2 has been teaming up with lots of different games and franchises to add new content, and the trend seems to show no signs of stopping. After recently releasing items based on the Blazblue series, they’ve partnered up with Arc System Works again to bring some Guilty Gear Xrd themed goodies to the MMO.

Characters from the Guilty Gear franchise will appear as NPC’s in the hub worlds for the game, as well as this you’ll also be able to buy parts of their costumes for you to equip to your own characters. Check out some screens of the gear in action below.

We’re still waiting on a Western release for Phantasy Star Online 2 but it doesn’t appear to be showing any signs of heading to our shores just yet, but if we hear anything we’ll be sure to let you know here on The Vita Lounge.

I don’t think we will see Phantasy Star Online 2 being brought over to the west anytime now since SEGA has no plans for a western localization. I think it’s a shame not to see it released because the first game was released in the west. But wait, this doesn’t mean the game is fully cancelled. Namco Bandai also said the same thing with Eternal Sonata back in 2008. But then few years later, they actually went ahead and localize the game anyway. No plans doesn’t mean cancellation.
