Heavy metal and hack ‘n’ slash action go hand-in-hand in Slain!.
The hack ‘n’ slash gore fest Slain! was confirmed for PS Vita after a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year. Originally, developer Wolf Brew Games had targeted a September release, which was then changed to early 2016.
However, a recent Twitter post has revealed that we will have to wait even longer for the action-platformer.
The PS Vita version of the game will release simultaneously with the Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U versions, which all fit under the console release window. So it looks like we won’t be bludgeoning any ghouls on our favourite handheld until the middle of 2016, but the glorious teasers and stunning visuals make us believe it will be worth the wait.
Slain! takes inspiration from hack ‘n’ slash games from the 80’s and 90’s. It is filled to the brim with delightfully gorey action, as you destroy a host of hellish beings. You play as Bathoryn as he hacks his way through flesh and bone to liberate seven great towers from seven deadly overlords. There will also be an heavy metal soundtrack, just to make the experience even more memorable.
Although the above trailer states the now incorrect release videos, it still shows us how the game will look, sound and feel. Keep checking back to TVL for all the latest on Slain!
