Here’s a familiar story. More evidence grows that a game is coming to the Vita despite hearing nothing official from Sony or the game’s publisher. We’ve been following the growing evidence lately about XCOM coming over to the Vita, but it looks like Civilization Revolution 2 Plus wants to get back in the action. Recently a full list of the game’s trophy set has been published, and you don’t need any more information than that to know the game is set to release soon.
Exophase has recently published the full list of Civilization trophies for the PS Vita, and it’s quite extensive. It contains 62 separate trophies plus a Platinum.
The game has now been rated by PEGI in Europe, but there’s still no sign of it in the ESRB catalog. Now with the trophies made available, all signs are pointing to an imminent launch. Will Civilization Revolution 2 Plus be given one of the typical “stealth launches” so often seen with the Vita, or will it receive a well crafted marketing campaign- No. Stop. It’s more than likely going to be a stealth launch or nothing. Of course, I’d like to be proven wrong.
Hopefully we’ll hear more at the upcoming Paris Games Week at the end of October. Perhaps Civilization will be coming to the Vita this holiday season after all.
(note, if you’re searching for the game on PEGI’s website, you need to search for “Revolution2” all as one word or leave the 2 off altogether)
