Here’s a familiar story. More evidence grows that a game is coming to the Vita despite hearing nothing official from Sony or the game’s publisher. We’ve been following the growing evidence lately about XCOM coming over to the Vita, but it looks like Civilization Revolution 2 Plus wants to get back in the action. Recently a full list of the game’s trophy set has been published, and you don’t need any more information than that to know the game is set to release soon.

Exophase has recently published the full list of Civilization trophies for the PS Vita, and it’s quite extensive. It contains 62 separate trophies plus a Platinum.

Civ trophies

The game has now been rated by PEGI in Europe, but there’s still no sign of it in the ESRB catalog. Now with the trophies made available, all signs are pointing to an imminent launch. Will Civilization Revolution 2 Plus be given one of the typical “stealth launches” so often seen with the Vita, or will it receive a well crafted marketing campaign- No. Stop. It’s more than likely going to be a stealth launch or nothing. Of course, I’d like to be proven wrong.

Hopefully we’ll hear more at the upcoming Paris Games Week at the end of October. Perhaps Civilization will be coming to the Vita this holiday season after all.

(note, if you’re searching for the game on PEGI’s website, you need to search for “Revolution2” all as one word or leave the 2 off altogether)

It’ll just show up one tuesday on psn. Like no big deal. 40 bucks, please.

    • vongruetz .

You know, if it’s halfway decent, I would probably spend $40 on it. And then I’d disappear into a cave and not be seen again for years. I have lost years of my life to Civilization, and I’m willing to sacrifice more.

Oh come on! Confirm it allready

It just got confirmed in Asia at least. The box art actually looks pretty good.

I remember playing a demo for the original Civ Rev on PS3, and even though I enjoyed it I never ended up buying the full game. As long as this one is good I’d definitely like to give the full game a proper shot this time around.

It just got announced for Japan and over there it is $40, which is a lot considering it was originally a mobile game. So this has me wondering how much stuff is added and improved over the original, I mean, it is the “plus” edition. I hope they did a big overhaul so it’ll be more like the first Civ Revolution game but I doubt it. Still gonna get it eventually though!

My guess is whatever micro-transactions or paywalls there were will be removed in some way.
Here’s hoping for a physical release! I really enjoyed the first Civ Rev, since I’m not a huge strategy fan but like to play one every once in a while.

Surprised Sony isn’t banging the drum abit more with this game – A Civ game on vita is great news for vita fans

I bet there trying to not announce anything, and tease everybody in order to build up hype.
