Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force recently got a large number of screenshots, and they show off the game’s Force System, Extreme Force Mode and three new Gundams.

Force System allows you to command and instruct your platoons and battleships as the commanding officer. You switch to Command Mode at any time during battle by pressing the L button, and then select the units you want to move and indicate the new location with the cursor. Through different actions such as defeating enemies and gaining control of bases, you’ll gain Force Points, which after accumulating a certain amount you raise your Force Level.

You access the Force Command menu through Command mode, or by pressing triangle. Using these consumes Force Points, but gives extra support to your units. When your Force Level increases, you can do more commands.

Extreme Force Mode starts with an original mission, continuing later on with different missions where players can enjoy situation from Mobile Suit Gundam to Mobile Suit Gundam UC. While completing missions, you unlock new suits and develop your pilot.

The Mobile Suit formation will consist of two Mobile Suits per platoon, each suit having a cost; your limit gradually increases to a maximum extension of 6000. By completing missions, you earn GP, which strengthens your units. It is mainly used for recovering your units and Mobile Gundam acquisition missions.

Lastly, we have been given a look, courtesy of Siliconera, at the new Gundams, their pilots, and the cost.

First is the Unicorn Gundam. Banagher Links is the pilot, and it costs 3000 Bans.

Next is Banshee Barn. Riddhe Marcenas pilots it, and it costs 3000.

Last, we have Gundam AGE-1, and its pilot Flit Asuno. It costs 2000.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force launches Dec. 23 in Japan.

Oh, good. Here I thought it was just going to be a two on two arena battler, but it looks like there’ll be some strategy gameplay involved.
