Marvelous Inc and Kenichiro Takaki (of Senran Kagura fame) recently announced a new beat ’em up called Uppers for the Japanese market.

Uppers features battles of the over-the-top, beat-’em-up variety. Attacks will change based on posture and positioning, and button mashing will be your friend – allowing you to beat your enemies into a pulp, toss them through walls, and even blow them up (somehow). This is a game from the creator of Senran Kagura after all, so you can expect some system similarities and familiar battle mechanics. 😉

Oh, and did we mention that beating down an enemy in front of a girl will enable you to power up and motorboat her breasts? That too.

How about the protagonist(s) though?

Well, we’ve got two – Ranma and Mitsuru. (Thanks, Niche Gamer)

uppers-10-20-15-12Ranma Kamishiro is a bored young man with a lack of fighting experience. That said, he’s a natural talent due to the strength and body size passed down from his parents. He travels to the island the game takes place on with his childhood friend Mitsuru.
