NIS America is bringing over another Atelier game, but this time they’re bringing a limited physical edition too.

Atelier Escha & Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky is set four years after the beginning of Atelier Ayesha. It takes place in a far away land, West of the Twilight Land, where two new alchemists (the named protagonists) are new members of the local administration’s R&D division.

While learning the ropes of alchemy, protagonists Escha and Logy gather companions and attempt to unlock the secrets of a nearby floating ruin – all the while, using their blossoming skills to help citizens that are still recovering from a catastrophic event known as “the Dusk.”

Sound good?

Well it’s coming our way in just under three months and will even feature a limited edition physical run.

Priced at $54.99, the limited physical edition comes with:

  • A physical Vita copy of the game
  • A 36-page full color, softcover art book
  • A 30 track single-disc soundtrack with jewel case
  • A tear-resistant poster (18″ x 24″)
  • A collector’s box

The game releases January 20th in North America and Europe, with the limited physical edition shipping out a day earlier on January 19th. Pre-orders are available here.

Are you excited to get back into some alchemy? 🙂

I’ve never played a game in this series, and I didn’t really like much of what I saw when I watched my sister play one (Rorona). But this one looks okay from what I’ve seen of it, and I have to admit that having a physical version available also increases its appeal (if I end up not liking it I can always sell it, which I can’t do with a digital-only game like the others in the series on Vita).

So yeah, I’ll probably end up checking this out.

    that’s very tempting…

Im assuming the game is digital only in europe with no limited edition. As is the case with all the other atelier games on vita.

Looks like this is going to be my first Atelier game.

With atelier sophie right around the corner for Japan and with the recent efforts by the production companies to localize atelier games for the western audience this announcement shouldn’t really come as a surprise. I’m sure we’ll see the same treatment for Sophie when the time comes. Until then Escha and Logy will prove to be another exciting alchemy adventure.

Heard about this a few days ago. Definitely purchasing it even though I played the original.
