Upcoming “cynical” point and click adventure needs your help to get funded.

If you follow new projects on Kickstarter, you may well have caught a glimpse of Demetrios, an upcoming point and click adventure from French developer Breton Fabrice which is described as a fresh take on the genre and is packed with cynical humour.

To get a better idea of what to expect, have a look at this trailer.

The game puts you in the shoes of Bjorn Thonen, an antique seller who has been robbed one night after coming back home drunk. Doing his own investigation with the help of Sandra, his next-door neighbor, he ends up involved in a mysterious and murky affair. But these two unlikely heroes may be able to surpass themselves and discover ancient secrets!

The game is heavily inspired by Broken Sword, with particular nods to Discworld, Gabriel Knight and even Phoenix Knight and offers varied situations and puzzles, for beginners and experts alike, with a highly contextual level of interactivity.

If you think it looks like the sort of game you might be interested in, then Breton could really use your help! The Kickstarter ends in 9 days and although the game has been funded, it still needs around €2000 to secure the Vita version, so if you are in a position to throw a few Euros his way he’s appreciate it. You can do that through the site’s Kickstarter.

To find out more about Demetrios, head over to the official Website and be sure to follow Breton on Twitter for more updates.
