The US PlayStation Blog’s The Drop has revealed that the SNES classic Super Star Wars will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita this week!
With the current hype surrounding the new Star Wars movie and the release of Star Wars Battlefront on home consoles, it appeared that this release almost sneaked past our eyes like Jedi-masters Obi-Wan and Yoda using their force-concealment power.
The Drop describes the game as ‘enhanced for PS4 with new save features, leaderboards, Trophies, and updated display and controller options. Risk your life as a Jedi Knight! Join Luke, Han, and Chewbacca in their fierce war against the evil Empire.‘
Although they only mention the PlayStation 4 version in the description, the PlayStation Blog goes on to say that the game will release on the PlayStation Vita and will be Cross-Buy with the PlayStation 4 version.
Super Star Wars is based on the original Star Wars movie, and generally follows the plot of the film – with some adaptations made to fit in with the style of a run-and-gun platform game.
The game’s trophies have also been posted on trophy site Exophase, so if you fancy seeing what will be up for grabs you can do so here.
There has been no word on a price for Super Star Wars as of yet, but I’m sure you will all have your Galactic Credits ready for when the game launches this Tuesday!
