Yet another Atelier game is confirmed for everyones favourite handheld.
Koei Tecmo are forever flying the flag for PS Vita, so there latest announcement should come as little surprise. The 16th game in the Atelier series of games, as well as the third and final in the “Dusk” storyline, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea will be getting the Plus treatment when it releases on PS Vita on March 3rd 2016 in Japan.
Atelier Shallie takes place 10 years after the start of Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk and 6 years after Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. The story starts in an oasis town, where the water sources are drying up. The plants are wilting and the animals are growing hungry. Two alchemists with different methods meet; Shallistera, who is seeking a way of saving her town, and Shallotte Elminus who is simply focused on becoming a better Alchemist. Each have their own unique story, with Shallistera’s unraveling the truth and mysteries surrounding all the ‘Dusk’ storylines, whereas Shallotte Elminus storyline will revolve around the daily life in the world.
As with every Plus game, there will be extra features included in the PS Vita version. For Atelier Shallie additions will include:
- Ayesha from Atelier Ayesha and Logy from Atelier Escha & Logy will appear and can participate in battle.
- New scenes and supplements will be added to better explain elements of the story. The appearance of Ayesha and Logy will add further explanations to the story.
- Arguments between Shallistera and Shallotte have been re-imagined, as well as new events involving Ayesha and Logy.
- All DLC from the original game will be included, as well as new costumes and bosses.
Expect more details from the TVL on Atelier Shallie as we head further towards the Japanese release date next year.
