The community manager for Team Ninja has confirmed that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will not be released in the west due to its content.
If you’ve got any sort of online presence over the last few years it’s not hard to guess (especially while looking at the screenshots) the reason why the game won’t be coming be coming West, however Team Ninja’s community manager put the final nail in the coffin with a post on Facebook.
Upon being asked by a fan, the community manager had the following to say;
“We do not bring [Dead or Alive Xtreme 3] to the west and won’t have any plan change in the future,”
Upon being asked by the reason why, the community manager responded with the following reply;
“Do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision. Thank you.”
It seems like the only way you’re going to be able to play this one in the West in an English language is by importing the English-Asia version of the game, which thankfully can be imported through Play-Asia here.
