It looks like a few familiar faces will be available for your protagonist in Crypt of the Necrodancer, as well as some familiar sounds.

This week’s issue of Famitsu has revealed some new details about the top-down 2D rhythm-infused roguelike dungeon crawler Crypt of the NecroDancer, including the fact that you’ll be able to change the look of the protagonist. Optional protagonist skins will include the likes of Shiren from Shiren the Wanderer and Monokuma from Danganronpa.

Speaking of Danganronpa, there will also be some music from the game included as background music in some of the dungeons.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is due out in Japan in early 2016.

Is… is this happening in the West, too? I’d love to kick some ass as Monokuma, as opposed to being terrorized by him, for a change.

I think that the chances are fairly good we’ll see this come over. It seems that as long as it’s either a dungeon crawler or involves Luffy or Nep Nep in some way shape or form, it’s a sure bet for localization lol. I’m sure if God Eater had been a DC, both games would have been localized!

Probably. It’s already available on Steam in English.

Not sure what they mean by dungeon crawler though. I figured mystery dungeon would describe a game like this while dungeon crawler would be for something like Demon Gaze or Etrian Odyssey.
