Do you love match three games? The latest Treasures of Montezuma title arrives next week.

If you have enjoyed any of the previous Treasures of Montezuma titles on the Vita then you could be in for a treat with Treasures of Monetzuma 4 arriving on December 8th.

With more levels, more modes and elaborate puzzles added to “vibrant” visuals and “explosive” gameplay, those that enjoy match 3 puzzle games could be in for a treat.

The title has a story, and it explains that a young lady called Anna has been suffering with mysterious dreams,
and by returning to the ancient Aztec empire and guiding Anna through intricate levels of the ancient shrine to the portal of the “other world” and beyond.

Match 3 games have an annoying habit of becoming quite addictive, and it seems that Tales of Montezuma 4 will be no different. The faster you complete a level, the greater reward you’ll receive and the more magical bonuses you’ll accumulate as your power grows, and as you’d expect, you’ll have Totems available to help you along the way.

Key points to expect from Treasures of Montezuma 4 are:

  • 32 Trophies – including a Platinum
  • Three game modes
  • 98 Story and 69 Quest levels
  • An epic boss encounter
  • Seven powerful totems and eight useful bonuses,
  • Opportunity to build and improve the Ziggurat
  • Opportunity to collect the collection in the “puzzle”

We will bring you more news on the game as we have it, and will of course bring you a review when we can. Love Match 3 titles? Looking forward to this? Let us know in the comments!

Enjoyed Blitz very much, not a fan of Arena. Judging from the screens it looks similar to Blitz, so I’m interested.

With it’s slow gameplay, Arena was an absolute snoozefest. I still play Blitz religiously and seriously hope this new game has more in common with it than Arena did.

Is this one going to be riddled with microtransactions like the third installment? I really liked (at least) the first game on Android, but that one was a one-time-purchase with no microtransactions.

Hmmmm.. as of 5PM U.S. it’s not availble on the Vita store. Pushed back maybe? Or have I missed something?
