Developer Inti Creates are seeking feedback from fans.
Back in May, Inti Creates launched their Kickstarter for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a spiritual successor to the Castlevania series. The title had no problems being funded, with its $500,000 goal smashed with a whopping $5,545,991 raised in total. With the stretch goal set at $3,500,000 for the PS Vita version of the game, we can look forward to many hours of demon-crushing very soon on our favourite handheld.
After what seemed like an eternity without any fresh updates, Inti Creates have kept good on their promise to keep backers updated with the development process of the game. The developers are currently working on finalising the games visual style, with two shaders revealed and a further two to be unveiled at the end of this month.
The most exciting part about all this is that Inti Creates want you to help shape the final style. A Google Form has been set up where anybody can post their thoughts on the initial shaders. Check out the first two below, accompanied with a brief explanation of the style from IGA taken from the Kickstarter post.
Shader 1: “This shader contains lighting, fog, and character brightness effects designed to give it a 2D look. I feel bad about how much I demanded from the development team!”
Shader 2: “For this shader we desaturated the colours, enhanced the shadows, and used hatched lines to fade between light and shadow. I think this one looks especially unique.”
