The title was initially announced for Vita at Playstation Experience.
Last week we brought you the news that Towerfall: Ascension, the multiplayer focused arena game would be heading to PS Vita. In a recent blog post, further details have been released on the handheld version, including a release date. The fantastic news is that you’ll be able to get your hands on it before the Christmas season is even in fall swing
Towerfall: Ascension will be available to download from December 15th on PS Vita and PS TV. More excitingly the game will be cross buy, meaning when you purchase the game you will automatically own it on Vita and PS4, including the DLC. Cross save will also be added in a future patch. The game will cost $14.99, with the Dark World DLC costing $9.99. No information was given regarding a EU price for the game.
In his Playstation Blog post, developer Matt Thorson discussed the game being a “local multiplayer” game at heart, with the best way to play being with friends sitting together on the same sofa. This led on to announcing that the game will feature Ad Hoc multiplayer on PS Vita. Unfortunately it seems there will be no online multiplayer aspect.
