Falcom has announced that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be released in Japan on the PS Vita and PS4 next year.

Ys VIII will be set on Sirens Island, an archipelago of South Gria in the Goethe Sea. The game will have a ‘Drifting Village’ base which you can develop throughout the game by gathering castaways.

If you’ve never played an Ys game before then check out the review of the last game Ys: Memories of Celceta. It scored a very impressive 4.8 and was praised for it’s ‘very fast and fluid combat system which rivals many other games of its type, giving you one of the best action experiences you can have on a Vita’.
