In anticipation of next year – which looks to be just as good as this year – I’ve put together a series of four preview trailers, showing off nearly forty of the hundred-and-some-odd games already announced for a 2016 Western release.

While there are certainly more games than we can fit into a small series of trailers (without making them ridiculously long or only showing you a few frames of each), we wanted to give you a small sampling of what’s to come – pulling from all sorts of games.

Below you’ll find footage from thirty-nine forty-seven PlayStation Vita bound games, which are either dated or projected to be released in 2016. The footage may not be Vita sourced, or even from the final form of the game; it is simply shown to give you an idea of what to expect.

Part 1 of 4;

The above video features; Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault, Attack on Titan, Attractio, Axiom Verge, Children of Morta, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Darkest Dungeon, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, and Drift Stage

The above video features; Drifter, Drive!Drive!Drive!, EarthNight, Four Sided Fantasy, Hyper Light Drifter, Iconoclasts, Liege, MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies, Mighty No. 9, and Never Alone

Part 3 of 4;

The above video features; New Danganronpa V3, Not A Hero, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, Pavilion, Poncho, Ray Gigant, Read Only Memories, Salt and Sanctuary, Senran Kagura: Estival Versus, and Severed

Part 4 of 4;

The above video features; Shakedown Hawaii, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Slain!, SteamWorld Heist, Stranger of Sword City, To Leave, Trillion: God of Destruction, YIIK, and Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey

Part 5 of 4 (Bonus!);

The above video features; Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, The Banner Saga, God Eater: Resurrection, God Eater 2: Rage Burst, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS-Force, One Piece: Burning Blood, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, and Volume

This is only a fraction of what’s slated to come out next year, as there’s both a hundred plus games coming and a whole year for more to be announced. That said, if you’re looking to see what else if coming to Vita you might want to take a look at our Coming PlayStation Vita Games page, which is a list of coming games – with dates – updated weekly or better!

So now that you’ve seen some of what’s coming next year, what’re you excited for?

Let us know in the comments!

PS; Obviously I realize that haven’t included everything coming, and for the record these videos were made before Bandai Namco’s God Eater announcement (or it would’ve been included) – so try not to lay the “what about game x?” on too thick… please. 😉

PPS; Updated with a bonus video on 12/24/2015!

    Wow. There is way more coming out for the Vita than I thought. Granted most haven’t been announced for the West yet and/or are ports of indie PC games, but it’s still all good. Maybe 2016 will see a popular Renaissance for the Vita.
    Personally I’m looking forward to Aegis Earth (looks fun), both God Eaters, Mighty No. 9, Odin Sphere, Shantae, and Zodiac. (Lest we forget Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, Civilization 2+, and hopefully X-Com from our Western publishers). I’ve heard amazing things about Steamworld Heist too, so we’ll see if the Vita version is superior to the 3DS version at all.

    Looks like this will be one heck of a year for the Vita! 😀

    Wouldn’t really be a new year without a new Neptunia game for our little console.

    Nice job, as always, guys. I count 9 that I am interested in, not including Ray’s the Dead and the Civ/X-Com games. Thanks for reminding everyone how good Vita is and that next year has more good stuff on the way.

    Great job. I’m stoked for Severed! That is must buy game for me. The Digimon game also looks interesting, but I still don’t fullt understand how it plays. Looking forward to reviews.
