It has been revealed that players of NIS America and Experience’s latest dungeon crawler, Stranger of Sword City, will be able to decide on the look of the game. The game will have two distinct art styles for the non-playable characters that you will encounter in the Base.

The two styles are being referred to as Type A and Type B. Type A is an original design which has been created specifically for Stranger of Sword City and Type B will have NPCs created in the same style as Experience’s previous two games, Demon Gaze and Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy.

We have two screenshots of Mrs. Gurrba to show you the differences. Mrs. Gurrba is an NPC who will help heal and revive your characters. The screenshot at the top of the page is a Type A design while the screenshot below shows a Type B design. Players can choose between the two in the options menu.

Which art style do you prefer? Let us know in the comments below!

The game is set to launch in North America on March 22nd and in Europe on March 25th, and a Limited Edition is coming to the West as well. Keep checking back at The Vita Lounge for all the latest Stranger of Sword City news!

    A looks better.

    Type B for me!

Tough one. I would probably keep switching between those all the time! ^.^
As of right now I think I prefer style B though.
But in any case it’s a cool idea to have this option. ^-^
Still one of the games I’m looking forward to the most this year! 😀
