We’ve shared quite a bit of news with you over the last few months regarding Dragon Quest Builders, including story details, details of the various continents in the world, screenshots and gameplay videos.

Unfortunately today we’ve learnt that Dragon Quest Builders will not be playable on PlayStation TV, this has been confirmed on the game’s official website. The PS Vita version will only be compatible with PS Vita consoles.

Still no word yet on a Western release but we remain ever hopeful that it’ll make it’s way over here!

Dragon Quest Builders is set to release on PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 on January 28th 2016 in Japan. Keep checking back to TVL for all the latest Dragon Quest news.

Well, that sucks. I imagine that the game uses a lot of touch screen interfacing, but a simple click of the stick (on dualshock 3) or a press of the touch pad (dualshock 4) could simulate that.

This seems like a really lame way to make people get the PS4 versión.
I wasn’t really interested in the game before since I don’t like neither Minecraft nor Dragon Quest, but now I couldn’t care less about it.

    Good job, SE.

Bad news for Vita/Playstation TV owners. But at this point, I just want a localization announcement.
