The popular visual novel series will be making the jump to everybody’s favourite handheld.
Publisher Broccoli has announced via their official website that the Uta no Prince-sama series of games will be releasing on PS Vita – in order, from the start. Initially the nine games in the series had been only available on PSP, but that won’t be the case any longer.
For those not in the know, Uta no Prince-sama is a franchise that spans manga and anime as well as different forms of merchandise such as drama CD’s, music CD’s and fanbooks. The games are in the romance and comedy genre, targeted at a female audience.
The plot summary is summed up below:
With dreams of becoming a composer and someday writing a song for her favourite idol, Haruka Nanami enters the Saotome Academy, a prestigious performing arts school. If successful there, she’ll be able to join the Shining Agency after graduation. However, it won’t be so easy when Haruka is already surrounded by potential idols and composers. On top of that, her homeroom teacher is a current idol, the headmaster was a record-breaking singer, and the academy itself is an eccentric place where anything could possibly happen.
Like most visual novels, the game has a branching plot line with multiple endings. These are determined by player choices.
