A post on the game’s official Facebook page has confirmed a second delay for the highly anticipated title.

It’s fair to say we’ve been waiting for Civilization Revolution 2 Plus for a while; we started waiting before it was even officially announced, and have seen a previously announced release date come and go once already – but it looks like they’re going to make it at least twice.

Here’s the announcement in full, pulled right from the Facebook post;

“Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution 2 Plus for PlayStation Vita is now launching in North America and Europe later this year. The team is hard at work making sure the title lives up to fans’ expectations, and we appreciate your continued patience as we take the time needed to prepare the title for global release in 2016.”

“Later this year” is a pretty harsh way to delay a game, especially when it has already proven that it works with the Japanese release. One has to wonder if they forgot to translate it the first time around, or what exactly the problem is here – a delay like this is pretty unusual if you ask me.

Anyways, that’s all for now – but we’ll be sure to update you as this one develops further.

PS; If you can’t wait, you can always import the Asian English version from somewhere like Play-Asia.

    Seeing people already imported the game and had no problems what are they improving? Maybe they what to released together with xcom

    • DCGX

      That would be cool. Or they’re preparing for a…physical release! I can dream.

        Even cooler if they nada a mashup, play a campain in CIV of humans vs aliens, and in xcom you could play with the leaders in your team 😀

    Plot twist: Cancellation! (Dear God, please no.)

    • Buckybuckster

      I’ll take a delay over cancellation any day of the week!

  • Cousin Jeffrey

    Ive had the Asian English physical version for months now. Why wait for an expensive digital version?

    Yeah, this has been a little strange. Whatever it is, it must have been rough. I thought about supporting this one from the get go, but now I worry there may be something game breaking in the translation. That or the positive spin of a physical release, who can say?
