Updated: LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens officially announced.

Warners Bros. Games have just been in touch to officially announce that LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will indeed be the next Vita-bound LEGO title.

Our press release tells us that:
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes players deeper into the new film than any other game with all of the heroic characters from the movie, including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and BB-8, as well as Kylo Ren, General Hux and Captain Phasma, while also exploring iconic Star Wars locales, such as Jakku and Starkiller Base.

This action-packed adventure introduces new gameplay features, including the enhanced “Multi-Builds” system, where players can choose from multiple building options to advance the game. Gamers will be able to engage in intense new Blaster Battles for the first time, utilizing surrounding environments to drive back the First Order. Fans can also experience the thrill of high-speed flight gameplay through arena-based battles and dogfights in space, while utilizing a multitude of vehicles along the way, including the legendary Millennium Falcon.

Original Story

An Amazon image leak seems to suggest we could be getting our first LEGO Star Wars on Vita.

Following the release of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers it seemed that TT Games had no other projects lined up, although with the release frequency of LEGO titles we all knew that wouldn’t last for long and it seems that the next release won’t be far, far away at all!

An image captured from Amazon tells us that we will be seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens in brick format at the end of June.

A trailer also appears to have been leaked for the game, which was caught by Games Cage on YouTube.

We’ve put this in as a rumour for now as there has been no official confirmation, but we will bring you more news as this inevitably happens. Are you looking forward to playing out the action of the latest Star Wars film in LEGO form?

I went in like a stern faced adult, then lego’s humour got me in the feels. Going to end up with this i’m sure. I haven’t played a Lego SW game since the OT on my PSP/360 (yeah i bought it twice I liked it that much), although i’ve been on the fence with Lego clone wars (psp) several times… anyone think it’s worth it?

From what I played, it was fun. But it’s been a very long time, so my memories are fuzzy. I remember having fun with the bit I played (borrowed it from a friend), but I always have fun with Lego games.

Day before my birthday! I really hope it only includes the new movie, that would feel like a real cash grab. The way I see it, it should have all 7 films even if the first 6 films only have remastered or reworked levels from the Complete Series compilation game.

Happy birthday, fellow June birth! High five!

        High five!

Not long after my birthday. Cool! I hope that it’s as awesome as Lego Avengers, but with more levels. That’s the only ingredient left to make the ultimate handheld Lego game!
