Koei Tecmo has announced both an upcoming update that brings 4-player co-op multiplayer, and their paid DLC schedule leading up to that update.

The first major Attack on Titan game update isn’t scheduled to hit the region until March 24th, but when it lands it’ll add 4-player co-operative online multiplayer alongside over ten other interesting bits (like titan models to decorate your camp area with). Full update details haven’t been revealed, but the 4-player co-op is more than enough – so whatever else they add in is just icing.

As for the paid DLC that’ll be released leading up to that major update, here’s what’s been announced (thanks, Gematsu);

February 18

  • “New Year” costumes and weapons

February 25

  • “Festival” costumes and weapons
  • Additional Episode: “Terms of the Trade”
  • Two other additional episodes

March 3

  • “Halloween” costumes and weapons
  • Additional Episode: “Iron Wall”
  • Two other additional episodes

March 10

  • “Christmas” costumes and weapons
  • Additional Episode: “Survival Competition”
  • Two other additional episodes

March 17

  • Complete add-on costume set (16 costumes)
  • Complete additional weapons set (four weapons)
  • Complete additional episode set (nine episodes)

Attack on Titan releases February 18th in Japan, and sometime later in 2016 in the West.

Here’s to hoping the update is included in the base Western release! 😉

Four player co-op? I was only mildly interested because I’m not into Attack on Titan itself, but now you have my attention!
