This should’ve been present from the start as this is an excellent bundle. Instead of making it limited sony should just make this the main ps vita bundle not only in japan but in the west as well, as I believe the god awful memory card prices act as one barrier to entry to vita gaming.

man you re right on the cards it cost me $116 for the 64 gig card last week ….complete rip off …. but i wanted it so i got it ………….. i think it really should be much cheaper…..

      • gamezalv

I really wanted to get a 64 gig card myself but then I’ve heard that these cards have a chance to die out (mostly the 64 gig ones). This is absolutely ridiculous. Not only does these cost a lot but they are not well made at all. You would think for $100 we would get the very best since considering you can buy microsd card for much cheaper.

I’ve had my 64 gig card for more than a year now and i don’t have any problems with it. I hope this is just a rumor >_<

        • Dirty Geeza

Never Herd Of Them Dying… EVER… but just so u know u only get 59 gigs …. even more of a rip off …. but i have 40 games on it and 10 movies and some music …. & there are a lot of FAKE 64 gig cards all over Ebay & Amazon … Be careful !!

The two I had were official SONY cards. bought at two separate times and both failed. One after a week, the other after about six months. At first they started throwing errors when trying launching games or media. Then after awhile the Vita won’t recognize them, then get stuck in a reboot loop. Problem happened on both Vita’s I had at the time so it wasn’t the console. My brother never had an issue with his for almost a year now so its just a gamble you take. The problems are all over the internet with the 64 gig cards. I wish you good luck with yours!

It’s not common but they do die out. It’s just that compared to other cards, these ones (the propitiatory 64gb card) tend to have a higher failure rate. Also just recently I’ve heard that Bluemaxima’s 64gb card died (in one of his videos). So yeah, sony dropped the ball on this one.

$116? Yikes. I got mine for $80 from Yes Asia about 2 weeks ago.

This is the bundle we have been waiting for… for 4 years! Throw in Minecraft or Gravity Rush/Tearaway and you have a system seller.

  • Mark Kenny

Absolutely, that’s a great price point (certainly from the perspective of EU prices – €199 console only), especially since it includes a 16gb card. 16gb being the sweet spot for a “starter” card.

  • Ogerscherge

I think I’d buy a spare one for such a good price! ^.^
Let’s hope that this deal comes to the west as well! 😀

  • Ichigo Yoite

hm I’ve been thinking about getting a spare Vita and this seems like a really good deal. Its possible to switch the language to english on the japanese console right?

    • Yup! As I recall you can change the regions too.

  • This isn’t the bundle we need, but it’s the one we deserve 😉
