SideQuest Studios have been busy working on the recent PS4 re-release of Rainbow Moon and things have been a bit quiet with regards to the sequel, Rainbow Skies.
But fear not, they’ve also been hard at work on Rainbow Skies and have released a couple of new screenshots and an update on the games progress.
Check out the new look of the game’s menu below:
There’s also a screenshot of the map which seems to be a big improvement on the one’s in Rainbow Moon. You’ll be able to see how much of an area has been explored, how many hidden items and how many treasures have been discovered. You’ll also be able to zoom in and out of the map.
SideQuest Studios has also given an update on where they are with the game:
‘Main story: The main story is now completely playable. We are still tweaking and correcting a few things here and there.
Puzzles: We’ve added a large variety of dungeon puzzles.
Map system: The new map system includes a number of new functions and is nearly complete now.
GUI updates: One of the biggest updates that we are working on at the moment. The UI will be completely reworked for Rainbow Skies.
Intro & Outro: Eanan is composing the music for the game’s intro & outro. First results sound very promising. We hope to share something soon!
and a lot more…’
In case you’ve forgotten here’s the trailer that was released back in 2014. Hopefully there will be some new footage released soon!
Rainbow Skies is due out at some point in 2016. Keep checking back to The Vita Lounge for all the latest updates.
