FuRyu has announced a new RPG for release in Japan, and it’s being developed by none other than Persona 1 & 2’s scenario writer.

Role-playing title Caligula has been announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu, and has been revealed to be the next title from Persona 1 & 2 scenario writer Tadashi Satomi – in conjunction with FuRyu director Takuya Yamanaka, and illustrator Oguchi.

It’s a game that’s set in a school setting, and it draws its name from “the Caligula Effect;” a term meaning to desire that which you can not have, simply because you can not have it (ie; someone with a lactose allergy wanting regular milk).

That’s all we know at the moment, though we’re sure more details will be revealed as soon as someone gets their hands on this upcoming issue of Famitsu (which releases on the 25th).

  • Seeing as how we don’t get too many if any FuRyu titles localized, I wouldn’t expect to see this one brought over unless it sells like crazy over there.

    • Kaboom

      Can’t hurt to hope though.

    • Dinoegg96

      What about Lost Dimension???

      • What about them? I didn’t state that we don’t get any Furyu titles, just that we don’t get a lot of em!
