March’s releases include some big hitters that are sure to be a huge success on the PlayStation Vita. Senran Kagura: Estival Versus, Trillion: God of Destruction and (my personal highlight) Day of the Tentacle Remastered are just three of the many games you can look forward to this month!

Now we all know that some games can appear out of the blue and release on our favourite handheld with only a few days notice, but here are the key titles that we can expect this month;

Croixleur Sigma

Release Date – March 1st NA

Croixleur Sigma is a hack ‘n’ slash arcade action game that centres around four young female warriors fighting endless waves of monsters. Each girl has been chosen to participate in the Adjuvant Trial, where they battle through a multi-level tower in hopes of winning military authority and the honour of protecting the queen.

Ninja Senki DX

Release Date – March 1st EU

Ninja Senki DX is coming our way via Tribute Games and is described as having the following premise;

When Kinuhime is slain by a demon, Hayate becomes obsessed with revenge! Casting aside the art of invisibility, the blue ninja unleashes the power of shurikenjutsu onto mythological creatures, demons and other adversaries in his action-filled quest for vengeance!

This DX version also includes updates such as a new challenge mode, a remixed soundtrack (done by Patrice Bourgeault), and two secret modes to unlock – as well as sixteen scenes, multiple endings and boasting Cross-Buy functionality with the PlayStation 4 version!

Release Date – March 2nd EU

Originally a PC and Mobile game, Siralim has players defending a kingdom by taming and fighting a whole host of different monsters, over 300 in fact. You are the resident of a castle, which can be upgraded by adding new rooms and facilities. This leads to you unlocking more NPC’s, who can help you gain better monster types for your party.

You can find monsters in the world of Siralim by hunting through the wilderness or if your feeling particularly motherly, raise one from an egg. During the turn-based battles you can select up to 6 monsters to fight for you at any one time. Your monsters abilities can be enhanced by finding equipment and augments to craft, as well as using spells.

The game is rich with roguelike elements, particularly highlighted by its procedurally-generated dungeons in which players can hunt for treasure. It is also possible to view where the monsters are lurking using the “roguelike overworld”, allowing players to avoid particularly tricky encounters.

Blast ‘Em Bunnies

Release Date – March 8th NA / March 9th EU

In Blast ‘Em Bunnies you play as a bunny named Bang Bang, who has the unsavoury task of protecting his burrow from an army of evil bunnies. These little rascals, led by their evil leader Throatslitter, have captured your offspring and are holding them hostage.

Of course you’ll have a rather large selection of perfectly name weaponry at your disposal, including the carrot rifle, watermelon pip machine gun as well as the formidable runner bean rail gun.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires

Release Date – March 11th EU / March 15th NA

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires is a continuation of Samurai Warriors 4. As is tradition with the Empire editions, more strategic gameplay will be added to the experience, meaning a good mix of both country conquering and action-packed large-scale battles.

Koei Tecmo have said that Empires will be one of the most strategic games in the series, and battles will involve pushing the position of your frontline and gaining control as you head to the enemy headquarters. As is the case with all previous entries in the series, the game will progress as you try to grow your land and amass power through your recruited commanders.

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus

Release Date – March 15th NA / March 18th EU

Senran Kagura Estival Versus_2014_09-18-14_001

A mystical phenomenon transports the buxom beauties of SENRAN KAGURA to a parallel dimension to face off against their rivals in a new kind of battle. With the biggest roster in the series’ history, SENRAN KAGURA ESTIVAL VERSUS features more moves, more story, more attitude, and more destruction online with matches that can support up to four players. All previous shinobi return with a host of upgraded moves to master, and new playable characters offer more challenges to conquer, along with a story that’s equal parts sexy and shocking, serious and scandalous, busty and bouncy.

Originally released for Mac OX and DOS in ’93, Day of the Tentacle is a point-and-click adventure game where the player takes control of three different characters (Bernard, Hoagie and Laverne) to solve puzzles while using time travel to explore different historical events. The antagonist of the title is the evil Purple Tentacle, for which the game is obviously named.

This remaster of the classic adventure game is set to feature new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork alongside remastered audio, music and sound effects. Similar to Grim Fandango Remastered, Day of the Tentacle Remastered will also feature a commentary track by the game’s original creators (Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell, and Clint Bajakian).

Let us know which of the above titles (if any) you will be picking up in the comments below!

  • DCGX

I’m really intrigued by Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault, but the descriptions and Japanese videos I’ve seen doesn’t really explain how the game is played (it seems like a tower defense game to me). I’ll probably wait for the Lounge’s review on it. Same goes with Trillion.
A very solid month all around.

  • Dirty Geeza

Nothing Really Grabbing Me …. ! This Month ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • Ogerscherge

Siralim and Samurai Warriors 4: Empires! ^-^
Trillion sounds nice as well though.

  • Lester Paredes

Any word on when Civ Rev 2 will telease? Last I heard it got delayed and then it dropped off the face of the earth…

    • Nope, all we’ve heard so far is “later in 2016.”

DOTT might be interesting but otherwise, the March line-up wasn’t really catering to my taste 🙁
