Mauro Fanelli from MixedBag Games has been in contact to let us know that Futuridium EP Deluxe will soon be getting a limited physical release.

With 2000 PlayStation Vita copies (and 2000 PlayStation 4 copies) up for grabs, MixedBag Games has partnered with LimitedRunGames in order to bring us a physical copy of late-2014 shoot ’em up Futuridium EP Deluxe – both the pre-order date and the release date of this physical edition yet to be determined.

With both Breach & Clear and their own Saturday Morning RPG already under their belt for Vita, LimitedRunGames has proven that their service is a solid one – and we at The Vita Lounge praise them for their injection of physical life into the Vita ecosystem.

We’ll be sure to pass on more information regarding the LimitedRunGames print of Futuridium Ep Deluxe as soon as its made available, but ’til then – it’s probably best to start saving those pennies. 😉

Hopefully the next one after Futuridium will be Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty .
That’s the one I’m waiting for on physical release…

I like the game, but it was a bit glitchy when I originally played it (some of the in-game medals wouldn’t count towards your total even after you did the requirements to unlock them, which makes it impossible to get one of the trophies). I wonder if they’ll take this opportunity to spruce it up a bit like Mighty Rabbit did with the physical version of Breach & Clear (though I’m going to get it regardless).

Now that they have a relationship established with Limited Run Games, I hope this means we’ll see a physical release for forma.8 as well. I like Futuridium EP Deluxe, but that’s the game of theirs I’m really excited for.

Mauro from MixedBag here! The physical version will be the patched one that we’re about to release on PSN. No more trophy glitches, and we’ve spiced the graphic up a bit with three different visual settings on Vita and full 8X MSAA on PS4.
There’ll also be a new difficulty settings that makes the game a bit easier. 🙂

And sure, we would love to do a physical release of forma.8 too!

Awesome, I’m glad to hear both of these things. Keep up the good work guys!

Mixed bag in every sense of the word. Hopefully we start getting decent games from LRG instead of these indie games that are exciting for about 5 minutes.

I’d like to see these Limited Run games do something similar to Gaijinworks with a preorder system that is unlimited in number of copies but time limited (even if they don’t do the discount with more copies preordered GW does). That should dissuade some of the scalpers and, most importantly, mean that everyone who knows in advance and preorders are guaranteed a copy. I know GW usually sell a bunch of copies to Play Asia and Videogamesplus too which is a bit more visibility for post deadline buyers and people who didn’t know about the games.
