Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna was recently announced for localization by Square Enix as I Am Setsuna – but the PlayStation Vita version was left behind. If you want that to change, you’ll have to bug them for it apparently.

The Tokyo Factory developed Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna is an ode to the role-playing games of yore – and it was announced on Monday for localization on PlayStation 4 and PC as I Am Setsuna… the PlayStation Vita version not announced to make the jump. Fans asked why, and prodded Square Enix for a localization. They responded.

Speaking to USGamer at the 2016 Game Developers Conference, director Atsushi Hashimoto had the following to say;

“Of course, there is a large Vita market in Japan […] If there is a swell of demand in North America [for the Vita version], though, we will consider it.”

If you want I Am Setsuna to come West on PlayStation Vita, you’re going to have to let them know. Tweet to @SquareEnixUSA and @Square_Enix_EU, or leave them a post on their Facebook page if you’re interested!

    Of course there’s demand. There’s always demand for games like this in the vita community. I don’t understand nor will I expect anything from this, but I will try. #SwellofDemand

  • I have mixed feelings on that statement, because it comes from Square Enix, I’m now more likely to skip it even if they offer a retail release on Vita!

    and of course we gotta deal with square enix again…so….maybe in ten years we’ll get it?

    Well, I’ve posted my support on their FB post, but it’s already been said here, we shouldn’t have to post up, they should know there’s demand here. They’ve only got to look at what else sells on the Vita and should be obvious really. I just hope it’s a physical release.

    I’ve sent them a tweet lets hope for the best!

    Ridiculous, I’m not going to beg Square for anything.
