Following the stealth release in Europe today of 2K Games’ XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus, it has been revealed that the other eagerly anticipated game from 2K, Civilization Revolution 2 Plus, is set to release on the PlayStation Vita next week in Europe.

This was revealed in the comments section of this week’s PlayStation Store update on the PlayStation Blog, where PS Store Community Coordinator Francesca Mead revealed the release date in response to a comment asking about this;

After releasing XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus without any fanfare, I hope that 2K and Sony make more of a deal around this game launching – these two games are arguably some of the ‘bigger name’ titles coming to the PlayStation Vita this Spring.

Will you be picking Civilization Revolution 2 Plus up when it releases? Have you already picked up the English-Asian physical copy? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to keep an eye on TVL for more news on this as soon as it happens!

    Wait..i just realized something. 2K has (potentially) 2 separate teams working on 2 Vita games (ports) simultaneously, releasing at the same time and advertised neither of them? I am confused.

      They’re probably banking on the high attach rate Vita owners have as well as word of mouth. Not the smartest idea, but I’m sure they will bring forth decent sales, especially for those wanting an RTS.

    I trust that the launch in the states will soon follow.

    This games should have been heavily advertised! The Vita community has been starved of good native strategy games.
