During an early play live-stream covered by Game Jouhou and Siliconera, new details about Romancing SaGa 2 and its compatibility were revealed.

According to Square Enix’s Masanori Ichikawa – Producer for Romancing SaGa 2 – the game won’t be coming to PlayStation Vita with PlayStation TV support. Reasons behind this outcome weren’t given, however the lack of support was relayed pretty clearly.

Also, it was revealed that while the PlayStation Vita version will have better controls due to the physical buttons present, the smartphone version will have better response time. That said, Ichikawa notes that most of the team prefers the Vita version of the game. 😉

Romancing SaGa 2 is due out March 24th in Japan, with no news on a Western localization.
