At the Vita Lounge we have been ravenously following the development of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana ever since Falcom first announced its release window at the tail end of 2015.
And why wouldn’t we? Its predecessor, Ys: Memories of Celceta, released to strong critical acclaim when it hit the Vita in 2013, and we awarded it 4.8 stars in our incredibly favourable review stating that it ‘does what it should do as an action/RPG with such quality that any fan of the genre should give it a shot’.
Since then we have been keeping you up to date with all the information surrounding its sequel as it breaks. From detailing how the battle system works to updating you when news surfaces concerning the two protagonists featured in the game.
And today is no different as Amazon Japan have recently revealed the official box art for the upcoming action RPG, and it looks pretty stunning to say the least!
So what do you think? Does this box art make getting the physical release all the more tempting? Let us know in the comments below.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is due out for Japanese release on PS Vita on July 21st and scheduled for a 2017 release on PlayStation 4.
