Compile Heart have opened an official website for their recently annouced RPG.
Last month we brought you the initial details for Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter, the new RPG from Compile Heart in collaboration with Dengeki PlayStation and Dengeki Bunko.
The game is set in a twisted version of Japan in 1999, but here is a more in detail look at the games setting:
Many decades ago a city suddenly collapsed and a prison controlled by creatures known as “Marchen” was born. Known simply as “Jail”, it is a living prison that is an impenetrable human ayslum.
The game follows Jack, a prisoner of Jail who has had a hard life. He is constantly tortured and has forgotten what it means to have hopes and dreams. His suffering is constant, he has no peace of mind and is set upon day and night.
But one day, after being put into solitary confinement, cut off from all light, a group known as the “Chishiki Girls Squad” rescues Jack.
So starts Jack and the groups mission to escape the supposedly impenetrable prison.
Here’s a better look at the main characters, starting with:
The main protagonist, who is imprisoned in “Jail”. He seems timid, but is strong of heart and will put his life on the line for his friends. He is rescued by Akazukin, who originally came to recue Alice. They support the Chishiki Girls Squad, who fight while wounded and wish to become women of power, as they attempt to escape the prison.
Later in the story, Jack discovers he is a “Chishiki Boy” after obtaining a “Chishiki” ability.
A girl who grew up as an inmate with Jack in prison. She discovers that she is a “Chistiki Girl” when she is save by Akazukin and demonstrates her power when escaping. She is usually able to judge situations cooly, but she always lays all her cards on the table when talking with Jack.
She is an exciting, hot-blooded girl who gallops into the prison. She has a soft spot for Jack, who she enjoys to manipulate.
She is said to be the first discovered “Chishiki Girl” and despite her rough outer shell, acts as an older sister to the other girls. Her hot-blooded nature can cause havoc at times though.
Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter is set to release at some point in 2016 and will cost 6,480 yen (£42.16/$60) as a download and 7,344 yen (£47.78/$68) for the physical release. There will also be a special edition for 9,504 yen(£61.84/$88.02).
