Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, the 17th title in the Atelier series, is set to release on PS Vita in the west this June. Ahead of the games release, Koei Tecmo have revealed new details regarding new gameplay elements, as well as detailing pre-order bonuses for both Europe and North America.
There are two important elements to consider throughout your Atelier Sophie playthrough: Time and Weather. These elements will affect your progression through the game. Certain enemies will only appear at certain times, during specific weather types. Similarly, important materials will only be available to harvest on certain days and in different climates. Planning your next move is vital, as rushing off with no structure will more than likely lead to failure.
Another new feature for the RPG will be a fatigue-based Life Point system. If you have spent a large amount of time before a battle adventuring, gathering materials and not resting, you will find that your attacks do less damage in battle. It is not advisable to dive headfirst into a battle after a busy day!
