The sequel to popular demon slaying game Toukiden: The Age of Demons is gearing up for a June 2016 launch, and this weeks issue of Famitsu has revealed more characters and a new Oni joining the games cast.
First up is the new Oni, known as Onuhouko, it is said to be a big Oni that normally lurks in areas such as the woods, it is described to have an insect like body with a hard shell. It’s weak spot is its legs, however don’t get too close as it’s likely to attack you with its overgrown nails on its hands.
Next we have three new characters who have been detailed, first is Kaguya, a Shrine maiden who protects Mahoroba Village, she can summon a great barrier to protect the village from Oni attacks. She is bound to the village but longs for her freedom.
Yakumo is a Captain of the Imperial army who wields dual blades, and declares his absolute loyalty to protecting Kaguya.
And finally we have Kuon, another shrine maiden, however her duty is different to Kaguya’s, she aims to appease the Mitama, she is described to have a cheerful personality and in her spare time runs a restaurant for her own enjoyment.
Koei Tecmo have also announced that the first live PlayStation Vita gameplay of the title will be livestreamed on YouTube on April 24th at 7pm Japan time, as well as this they have also announced that there will be plenty of new reveals during the stream, so make sure to stay tuned to The Vita Lounge as we’ll be sure to share the news here.
