Device accessory manufacturer Hori (of screen protector fame) has announced a brand new remote play trigger grip for the PlayStation Vita Slim (PCH-2XXX series).

The Vita Lounge forum user and NeoGAF regular Takao has pointed out a newly announced product that might catch the attentions of a few Vita Players (and remote players) out there – a trigger grip that uses the same idea as the Joetsu product we were hearing good things about back in August of last year.

Priced at 2,980 yen and releasing this July, the trigger grips are sure to catch the attention of many fans – but we warn you; it will not work with the OLED (original) model, and it will not work with games which use a custom remote play scheme (that doesn’t use rear touch).

With all that information dropped in your lap, will you be picking one up mid-year?

That’s awesome! Great timing, since the Joetsu one I have I kinda broke when I went on a trip. It’s currently held together with duct tape… lol. Any idea where to pre-order? I’m assuming play asia is going to be a good bet…

  • I emailed Hori to beg for a PCH-1000 version. If anyone wants that version do the same.

It’s available to pre-order at Play asia. 25 bucks. Seems it’s released in July.
