The end of the month creeps up on us once again – meaning we’re back to announce the May line-up of PlayStation Plus titles for the Western regions.

We’d like to remind you that Plus titles across North America and Europe now hit on the same day of the week – the first Tuesday of the new month – and you’ll be able to get this month’s haul on the 3rd.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta (PSP)

The player controls the protagonist Kratos, the God of War. Kratos is still haunted by the visions of his mortal past and decides to explore his origins. In Atlantis, he finds his mother Callisto, who claims that his brother Deimos is still alive. Kratos then journeys to the Domain of Death to rescue his brother. After initial resentment from Deimos, the brothers team up to battle the God of Death, Thanatos.

Switch Galaxy Ultra

“There is certainly a good game in Switch Galaxy Ultra, it is rather addictive and fantastic on a visual level, but it’s likely that you won’t want to spend much time with it as it is a fairly repetitive game with not much variety on offer.” – Liam Langan

These two titles (one PSP, one Vita) can be yours, for the low price of a PlayStation Plus subscription. That subscription will net you great deals on digital titles as well, especially if you pay attention to the weekly deals on the PlayStation Network.

If you don’t already have one, I suggest grabbing a year sub; both for the cost to coverage benefits as well as the fact that you’re not going to want it to run out on you. 😉

Terrible month this time… at least, for me

Played a little of the PC version of Switch Galaxy, seems alright, but not tremendous value as a freebie. I stopped subbing to PS+ ages ago and have found no reason to resub, the one or two nice titles we get, I’d rather just actually buy and own properly 8v

What a let down for this coming month. And I’m never one to blast the free games being offered. Though, Ghost of Sparta is a good game, overall, if you’re tired of killing things as Kratos, this will do nothing for you. Switch Galaxy is pretty, but I’ve never really been into runners. Oh wel, I guess.
