Hardware comparisons revealed by Square Enix.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End will release in Japan on the 27th May and ahead of the release, Square Enix have released a list of comparisons between the different versions with accompanying trailers.

The action RPG will be releasing on Vita, PS3 and PS4 and although content wise the games will be identical, there are some differences due to hardware restraints.

Multiplayer and cross-save will be available in all versions, with the PS Vita edition also having PlayStation TV support. The handheld version of the game will have 960×544 resolution, less that the HD console versions and will run at 30 fps, the same as the PS3 version.

As you would expect, graphics have been partially adjusted to meet the hardware performance of the PS Vita. Although monsters and objects may not be visible from a distance, this will not change the difficulty of the game.

A trailer showcasing the game running on PS Vita was also revealed, which you can view below. As well as seeing how the RPG stands up on Vita, you can also get a good look at gameplay.

Lets not forget at the heart of the Vita resides a RISC processor: Snapdragon and an outdated GPU. Still, I’m surprised they managed to make all the monsters and hit-reports coexist, sacrificing the shadow and lighting techniques. Did not see anything “disturbing” with the draw distance: if you think it’s bad, you should play NFS Most Wanted on the Vita. Now that’s bad.
As for availability, this is S-E. They will play the silent game until God only knows. You don’t have to take my word for it, this is S-E’s blog post “asking” the community’s opinions about bringing Adventures of Mana to the West: http://eu.square-enix.com/en/blog/adventures-mana-released-iosandroid. They never replied or posted a blog update.
I don’t see what’s the point of asking if they won’t ever listen.
